Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration receives a phone call from the Moroccan Foreign Minister

Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, received a phone call today from Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco.

During the call, the Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, where he discussed with his Moroccan counterpart the overall developments witnessed in the region over the past days, and the efforts made to reach a ceasefire and work to calm and reduce escalation, and spare the region from slipping into a comprehensive regional war.

Dr. Abdel Aati also reiterated full solidarity with brotherly Lebanon and support for its national institutions in these critical circumstances, and work to preserve its stability, unity and sovereignty.

He stressed the rejection of any attempts to establish a new situation on the ground that affects Lebanese sovereignty, noting that the ongoing escalation portends the dangers of igniting the region in a way that leads to dire security and humanitarian consequences.
