The plot revolves around a desperate man who is released from a Tunisian prison, where he spent four years for destroying the office he previously worked in.
He suddenly becomes convinced that he can fly and is determined to challenge his family’s doubts about his abilities, even trying to prove to his young son Yassine that he can win the challenge.
The film has won several awards at various festivals, including a Special Jury Award at the Luxor African Film Festival during its thirteenth edition.
The film’s director, Mohamed Ben Attia, was born in 1976 in Tunis and has directed five short films, winning several awards at various festivals.
His first feature film, “I Love You Hedi,” won the Best First Work award and the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin Film Festival in the same year, 2016.
His second feature film, “My Son,” was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
