The Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on its official website, following the European Court of Justice’s ruling on the EU-Morocco fisheries and agriculture agreements, that “Portugal considers the partnership between the European Union and Morocco essential, and will work with European partners and European institutions to deepen it in all areas”.

She added that Portugal and Morocco are also linked by a strategic partnership, at the bilateral level, characterized by a long-standing relationship of respect and friendship, and great momentum at the political, diplomatic and economic levels.
