Italy stressed the “essential” strategic partnership between the European Union and Morocco. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, said on his account on the (X) website: “The strategic partnership is essential between the European Union and Morocco, including in the field of agriculture and fisheries.”
The head of Italian diplomacy stressed, in his comment on the decision of the European Court of Justice on the fisheries and agriculture agreements between the European Union and the Kingdom, that “the European Court must take this into account.”
He added that “the Italian government, as I will reiterate during my visit to Rabat, wants to further strengthen cooperation with Morocco, especially in the field of combating illegal immigration.”
