The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Cairo Salih Mutlu Şen met with Egyptian Minister of Trade and Investment Hassan Al-Khatib at the Asian Ambassadors Group meeting on October 14.
During the meeting, Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Trade, confirmed to Ambassador Şen that he will travel to Istanbul in November to attend the Ministerial Meeting of the Economic and Commercial Cooperation Council of Islamic Countries (COMCEC).
The Minister may also have interests in investment and economic matters in Istanbul.
Ambassador Shen said in his post on the Facebook page, “During the meeting of the ambassadors of the Asian group countries, we listened with appreciation to the firm, realistic and open approach of the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Investment, Hassan Al-Khatib, aimed at a comprehensive transformation in customs procedures, investment facilities, residence and work permits, exports and investments.
Turkish companies are keen to benefit from the opportunities and advantages provided by the Egyptian economy, especially its talented and large resources of workers, managers and engineers, free trade systems around the world, its strategic location and advanced infrastructure under the rule of President Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The investments of Turkish companies in Egypt enhance their competitiveness at the global level and facilitate their access to Arab and African markets.
Turkey’s economic vision in the region is to grow with our sister and strategic partner Egypt, on the basis of mutual benefit. We support Egypt’s efforts towards prosperity and development under the leadership of President Mr. El-Sisi, with an understanding of solidarity and cooperation.
From this standpoint, we welcome the investments and trade relations of Turkish companies in Egypt.
