The Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC) affiliated to the Embassy of India in Cairo is organizing the 28th edition of the “Glimpses of India” Drawing Competition for Egyptian school children in 17 governorates of Egypt.
The competition will be held in Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Gharbia, Sharqia, Red Sea, Alexandria, Menoufia, Beni Suef, Fayoum, Kafr El Sheikh, Beheira, Port Said, Ismailia, Aswan, Luxor and Minya during the period from October 20 to November 13, 2024.
The competition is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
2- The “Glimpses of India” Drawing Competition is an annual drawing competition organized in collaboration with the Egyptian authorities.
It is more than just a competition, as it is a bridge of interaction between India and Egypt. For the past 28 years, the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC), Cairo has been organizing this competition in different governorates of Egypt.
The competition was first held in 1994.
The main objective was to inculcate interest in India and Indian culture among the successive generations of youth in Egypt, thereby strengthening the bonds between the two peoples.
3- The Embassy of India is scheduled to hold an awards ceremony for the winners of the drawing competition after its conclusion.
The MACIC will form a 3-member jury to select the winners in the different categories for each governorate.
