By Sama Marwan,

In a landmark decision, Brazil and neighboring countries announced the creation of the world’s largest protected area in the Amazon rainforest. Spanning millions of hectares, the reserve aims to safeguard endangered species and indigenous communities.

International conservation groups hailed the move as a victory for biodiversity. The reserve is also expected to act as a significant carbon sink, mitigating global warming. Challenges remain, such as illegal logging and mining, but the initiative is a beacon of hope in environmental conservation.
