Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held talks with Lenka Miháliková, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Cairo, to discuss investment opportunities and bilateral cooperation in oil, gas, and emissions reduction.
During the meeting, El Molla confirmed that the petroleum sector is fully prepared to cooperate with Slovak companies in many fields and exchange experiences and successful practices.
For her part, Miháliková stated that her country relies primarily on renewable energies and seeks to diversify natural gas resources in its energy mix. She pointed out that Slovakia has great experience in the field of emission reduction technologies and solutions, asserting that her country is prepared to cooperate with Egypt in this field.
Miháliková expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by Egypt for the energy transition and reducing emissions. She also indicated the intention of a delegation of Slovak companies to visit Egypt to discuss investment opportunities available in many fields, especially oil and gas.
