The Egyptian Embassy in Wellington opened its doors at 9 a.m. local time to welcome members of the Egyptian community living in New Zealand.
The three-day presidential election voting period for expats began on this day, allowing them to exercise their democratic rights and contribute to the future of their country.
Egyptians residing in 121 countries around the world will vote in the election from December 1st to December 3rd. Voting will take place at 137 Egyptian embassies and consulates throughout the world, with voting hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time.
The candidates who will run in the elections are Abdelfattah Elsisi, Abdelsanad Yamama, Farid Zahran, and Hazem Omar.
