Director of the French Institute in Cairo: Launching “Here is Palestine” activities in support of Palestinian national culture

The French Cultural Center in Cairo launched the “Here is Palestine” activities, in support of Palestinian national culture in the face of the genocidal war committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.

In his speech, the Cultural Attaché of the French Institute in Egypt, Eric Lebas, said that the “Here is Palestine” event includes the inauguration of a photo exhibition by photographer Keigham, and an exhibition by photographer Muhammad Salem about daily life in Gaza, which will open next Friday evening at the institute’s headquarters, where the photo exhibition will continue until Next May 12.

This came during a joint press conference by the French Ambassador to Egypt, Eric Chevalier, with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Cairo, Diab Al-Louh, and the Cultural Advisor to the Embassy, ​​Naji Al-Naji, at the headquarters of the French Institute in Mounira.

He explained that the activities will be launched starting next Saturday, with displays of Palestinian works, handicrafts, and embroideries, a display of Palestinian culinary arts, a photo exhibition entitled “Gaza, My Love,” a display of stories from Gaza, and various cultural performances that will continue throughout the day.

Lebas pointed out that next Sunday’s activities will include a hula show, “Dear Children,” an art workshop with the participation of Palestinian artists, and a graphic arts workshop entitled, “I Will Not Leave My Story.”

It also includes a dabke performance by the Palestinian Al-Faluja band, and will conclude with an artistic evening by the Palestinian Maqam band. In addition to book presentations discussing the Palestinian issue and special stories for children, to talk about Palestine, he pointed out that on Monday evening there will be Palestinian film screenings.
