The US Embassy in Cairo has revealed that the award-winning American acoustic music group, Beatbox House, is visiting Egypt as part of their 2024 world tour.
The Beat Box House band’s visit to Egypt, the only stop in the Middle East during the 2024 tour, comes to bring this unique American musical genre to three Egyptian cities: Luxor, Cairo, and Alexandria.
On the sidelines of their visit to Egypt as part of their tour, Ambassador Hero Mustafa Garg, the US Ambassador to Cairo, hosted a welcome celebration for the five members of Beatbox House, Jin Shinozaki, Kenny Urban, Na Boom, Amit, and Chris Seles.
The ambassador said, in her speech on the sidelines of the celebration, that the US State Department, for decades, had been working to transmit and spread music around the world, since the 1950s and 1960s, with jazz music, and over time the music diversified into different types.
The ambassador added that today the American Beatbox Band is coming to tour Egypt, in Cairo, Luxor, and Alexandria, continuing: “Some of you may wonder why Egypt? The answer is clear because it is the mother of the world.”
The ambassador continued: Egypt is the center of civilization and the cultural center of the Middle East. We all know Umm Kulthum, and all the magic that we see in the theater, in the cinema, and on television is from and about Egypt, and therefore the presence of the beatbox band in Egypt is completely logical.
The ambassador added: Not only that, Egypt and the United States of America have witnessed cultural and artistic cooperation and exchange for many years, which also includes all the Egyptian artists who perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and includes the United States’ sponsorship of 40 young women and artists in parts of the program “ “My music.”
In announcing this international musical experience, the Minister Plenipotentiary for Public Diplomatic Affairs at the US Embassy in Cairo, Robin Haroutunian, said that the theme of the Beat Box House tour for 2024 in Egypt is “Music Brings Us Together” or “Music Brings Us Together,” as music provides a language that unites people from all over the world. He added: The musical collaboration created during this program will help celebrate and highlight the strong partnership between the United States and Egypt, as the Beat Box House Egypt Tour for 2024 will begin on April 30 with a concert at the Egyptian Public Library in Luxor.
