The Sultanate of Oman participates in the 38th Tunis International Book Fair

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and a number of private sector institutions in printing and publishing houses, will participate in the Tunis International Book Fair in its 38th session under the slogan “Solidarity with the Palestinian People”, during the period from 19 to 28 This April.

The participation, which includes a number of diverse publications and titles in various fields of knowledge and literature, comes within the framework of consolidating existing media and cultural relations between the two countries, and out of the belief of the Sultanate of Oman in the importance of the presence of Omani writers in all Arab and international cultural exhibitions and forums in order to highlight the cultural and historical heritage and introduce the Omani intellectual and cultural product.

The promising tourism potential that characterizes the Sultanate of Oman underscores the importance of the publishing role in cultural exchange and pride in identity and the book.

Dr. Hilal bin Abdullah Al-Sinani, the Sultanate of Oman’s accredited ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia, stressed the Sultanate of Oman’s keenness to periodically participate in the Tunis International Fair, and Tunisia’s successful participation in the Muscat International Book Fair in the 28th session last February.

It is worth noting that the Tunis International Book Fair includes 314 exhibition pavilions, including 154 houses from Tunisia and 160 from Arab and foreign exhibitors.
