Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, led the ceremony of handing out financial grants to young men and women for the small projects under the “Youth Empowerment Projects” program which implemeted by the Ministry through the Central Administration for Youth Empowerment, in cooperation with the Conference of the Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Francophone Countries.
The Minister of Youth and Sports expressed his gratitude to everyone who engaged in the endeavor and requested hearing the details of the winning youth activity they submitted and the ideas they had with the aim of improving the projects. Ministry provides youth revenues through projects in social service, industry and productive sector which differ from one another.
Ashraf Sobhy, the Ministry’s chairman, expressed that they are interested in small projects and participating with other authorities.
He affirmed that the Ministry is trying to design a set of training programs to improve the capacities of youngsters as well as to support them in different fields among which directing their efforts to economic feasibility studies will be done.
The event was graced by Major General Ismail Al-Far, Assistant Minister for Youth Affairs and Coordinator of the Youth Sector, Ms. Manal Gamal, Head of the Central Administration of Empowering the Youth, Ms. Jihan Rashwan, General Director of the General Administration of Entrepreneurship and Start-ups, and a group of officials from the Ministry.
