Deputy Ambassador of China in Cairo: We look forward to Egypt’s participation in the 7th session of the Chinese International Import Expo

Today, the Chinese Embassy in Cairo organized a promotional conference for the 7th session of the China International Import Expo, scheduled to be held from November 5 to 10 in the Chinese city of Shanghai.
Gang Xiaoyang, Deputy Ambassador of China to Egypt, confirmed during the promotional conference organized by the Chinese Embassy in Cairo, the China International Import Expo Authority, and the National Exhibition and Convention Center, in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conventions, the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, the Egyptian Entrepreneurship Association, the Egyptian-Chinese Friendship Association, and the Egyptian-Chinese Trade Center. The current stage represents a new chapter of Egyptian-Chinese cooperation.

He added that his country is looking forward to Egyptian participation in the 7th session of the Chinese International Import Expo, which represents a bridge for cooperation with Egypt and Chinese openness to the outside world, and that this year will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic cooperation relationship and the growth of trade and investment movements between Egypt and China, noting that the goal of the meeting is Supporting economic cooperation between Egypt and China and enhancing the participation of Egyptian companies in the Chinese International Import Expo.

Shuyang said that Chinese President Xi Jinping has prepared for this upcoming exhibition, as it is the first exhibition of its kind in the world that discusses the issue of imports between countries, stressing that the exhibition represents a platform for open cooperation and urging the conclusion of deals between countries and investment in a way that contributes to advancing and developing… International Economy.

The Deputy Ambassador of China to Egypt stressed that the origin of China’s foreign policy is openness to the outside world and the exchange of common benefits, noting that high-quality economic development is currently taking place in China.

In his speech at the promotional conference in Cairo, Li Guo, Vice President of the China Exhibition Authority, stressed Egypt’s interest in the exhibition as well as participating in it, thanking Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who exchanged joint visits and signed agreements to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

He pointed out that Egypt participated in all six previous sessions of the exhibition, pointing to the participation of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly in the first edition of the exhibition’s activities, explaining that the exhibition will include the display of goods such as medical equipment, medicines, services trade, consumer goods, and others. The Vice President of the Chinese International Import Expo also directed the Egyptian private sector to attend and participate in the seventh session of the exhibition.

Major General Sherif Al-Mawardi, Chairman of the International Exhibitions Authority, confirmed Egypt’s desire to participate in the seventh session of the exhibition, which is scheduled to be hosted by the Chinese city of Shanghai early next November.

Sherif Yahya, President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that Chinese-Egyptian relations have witnessed a major transformation and a new phase of cooperation and strategic partnership in recent years, noting that China had participated in the conference to support the Egyptian economy in Sharm El-Sheikh in 2015 and announced an injection of investments worth $1. $8 billion to implement a project in cooperation with the National Electricity Company, and the Ministry of Transport signed a contract with Chinese companies to implement transportation projects worth $500 million.

He said that there is a mutual keenness between the two countries to enhance joint cooperation, stressing that China’s economic development is characterized by a stable nature and is able to withstand global economic challenges.

Mohamed Youssef, President of the Egyptian Businessmen Association, said that the association includes 500 companies and members, and believes that there are promising opportunities for fruitful cooperation between the two countries, noting that the association established one of its affiliated committees in 2007, which contributed to holding promising meetings with Chinese delegations to promote the opportunities. Mutual exchange between the two countries.

The exhibition attracted 81 countries in its sixth session, which witnessed the participation of 61,000 companies around the world and the conclusion of transactions worth $420 billion, according to statements by the Chinese official.
