Today, the Russian Embassy in Cairo congratulated Egyptian workers on International Labor Day, pointing to the huge achievements that Russia has provided to Egypt over the decades in various fields.
The Russian Embassy in Cairo said in a statement: “Happy Labor Day to our dear Egyptian citizens and friends.”
The statement added: “Our two peoples are bound by the ancient and rich tradition of labor friendship, and in the 1960s and 1970s the Soviet Union provided assistance to Egypt in designing and building about 100 industrial facilities that became the basis of Egyptian industrialization.”
The statement added: “One of the main joint projects between the two countries is the High Dam in Aswan, which was built with financial and technical assistance from the Soviet Union.”
He continued: “Today, 16,000 Egyptian and Russian workers are working together on the Mediterranean coast to establish the first nuclear power plant in Egypt in the city of Dabaa, which will operate at full capacity by 2030. The nuclear power plant will not only provide electricity to the population of Egypt, but will also allow it to export the surplus.” she has”.
