President Sisi and Prince Tamim bin Hamad discuss developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip

Today, the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, made a phone call with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the call, they discussed developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and joint mediation efforts to reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the release of prisoners and detainees, and the sustainable entry of humanitarian aid into all areas of the Strip.

During the call, the Emir and President Sisi stressed the need to intensify mediation efforts during the next stage, in cooperation with all regional and international partners, to end the war on the Gaza Strip and put an end to the suffering of civilians.

During the call, bilateral relations and ways to develop them were also discussed, in addition to a number of regional and international issues.
